A fully customized file with multiple horn/bell options suitable for BNSF's EMD SD70ACe locomotive, along with CVs, settings, and volumes optimized for best performance. This file is accurate for for both the isolated and thundercab SD70ACe in BNSF's roster. This file features:

 

A custom extended prime mover startup recorded directly from a BNSF SD70ACe.

 

(2) Airhorns including:

(2) Different Nathan K5LLAs recorded from a BNSF SD70ACe

Different horns can be selected via CV163=0-1

 

(3) Bells including:

(2) EMD Steel Bells

(1) Graham White e-bell

Steel bell variants and e-bell selectable via CV164=0-2

 

The sound file also includes updated auto-bell logic to prevent the "double ring effect," found on previous older ESU files when using the bell F1 and horn F2.

 

Included is a rail wheel/flange squeal set to (F7).

Also included is a custom distant/echoed K5LLA (recorded from a BNSF SD70ACe), programmed to (F3), to simulate the locomotive from a distance.

A custom BNSF Railway defect detector will be programmed to (F14).

A custom 1-minute-long radio chatter sequence will be programmed to (F22).

This listing is for (1) single-use digital custom sound file project for use with all brands that produce BNSF SD70ACe models (additional adjustments in lighting function outputs may be required to suit your project).

  • Enter your decoder serial number (to find this, hook your decoder or ESU-equipped locomotive to the LokProgrammer and read the decoder data by following the 6 steps as SHOWN HERE), note this is not the decoder model number (54499, 54400, 54700, etc.) but it's 8 digit unique serial number such as FA06E311
